Work Rights (VEVO) Checks
For Australian hiring, you can confirm a candidate's work entitlements with a VEVO check:
- Run a check against the candidate's visa details
- Record the outcome on the candidate's record for your compliance trail
Keep VEVO results on file so you can demonstrate you confirmed the right to work before hiring.

Troubleshooting
My job isn't showing up for candidates
Check the job status. A job set to Draft is a work in progress and isn't visible to anyone. Set it to Published to start accepting applications. If you only want existing staff to see it, set it to Internal Only instead - external candidates won't see internal postings.
A job isn't appearing on SEEK or LinkedIn
Job board posting relies on a connected account. Confirm the integration is set up under Settings → Integrations (see the Settings guide), then push the job to the board again from the job record.
I can't move a candidate to the Offer stage
Candidates progress through the pipeline stages in order via the stage dropdown on the candidate or application. Open the candidate, click the stage dropdown, and select Offer - then Create Offer becomes available.
Frequently asked questions
What happens when a candidate accepts an offer?
Click Convert to Employee on the candidate. Mployr creates an employee record in People Management and triggers the onboarding workflow, so you don't re-key their details.
How do I confirm an Australian candidate's right to work?
Run a VEVO check under Recruitment > VEVO Checks against the candidate's visa details, then record the outcome on their record for your compliance trail.
Can I keep good candidates who missed out for future roles?
Yes - add them to a Talent Pool (under Recruitment > Talent Pools) from their profile or the candidate list, then re-engage them when a suitable role opens.
How do I keep interview assessments consistent?
Use Scorecards to define the competencies to assess and the rating scales. Interviewers submit feedback against those criteria, and Mployr generates an overall score for objective comparison.
Tips
